2016

SIG Writing 2016
The 15th SIG Writing conference was held at Liverpool University (UK). It was preceded by a two-day Research School on writing research for PhD candidates and other junior researchers, which was supported by the COST Action IS1401ELN.

The SIG Writing conference and the Research School were organized by Lorna Bourke and Simon Davies and their teams.

2015

EARLI 2015
The 16th EARLI biennial conference took place at the Cyprus University of Technology, Limassol, on August 25-29, 2015. This was preceded by the pre-JURE Conference, which took place at the same University on the 23rd and 24th of August. Further information is available at www.earli2015.org.

During the conference, SIG Writing presented an invited symposium on “Design principles for teaching effective writing”, which was arranged by our colleagues Martine Braaksma, Raquel Fidalgo, and Karen Harris. In here you can have an overview of this symposium.

2014

SIG Writing 2014
The 14th SIG Writing conference was held at the University of Amsterdam, in The Netherlands. It was preceded by a two-day Research School on writing research for PhD candidates and other junior researchers at Utrecht University.

The SIG Writing conference and the Research School were organized by Gert Rijlaarsdam and Huub van den Bergh and their teams.

JURE 2014
The 15th JURE conference was held in Nicosia, Cyprus, from the 30th of June to the 4th of July. For the first time, SIG Writing presented an invited symposium on “Assessing and Promoting the Development of Writing Skills in Primary Grades”, which was arranged by our colleague Teresa Limpo. EARLI 2013
The 15th EARLI conference was held in Munich, Germany, in August 27-31. During the conference, SIG Writing presented an invited symposium on “Weight of language specific factors in writing development”, which was arranged by our colleagues Barbara Arfé and Rui A. Alves. The 9th International conference of the EARLI SIG Writing was held at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
It was organized by Linda Allal and Bernard Schneuwly.
All papers of the proceedings have been uploaded to the SIG Writing publication server from where everybody has open access to them.
