EARA Conference awards

The EARA will provide 50 conference awards of €100 each for young scholars attending the 17th EARA conference in Porto online, September 2-5, 2020.  


Eligibility criteria
To be an EARA member (if you are not a member or if you need to renew your membership, you can follow the online procedure https://www.earaonline.org/membership/joinrenew/)

  • To be a young scholar (i.e., those who are currently working on pre-doctorate levels or have obtained their doctoral degree within the last two years)
  • To be the presenter and first author of an abstract (poster, oral presentation, or symposium presentation) accepted for presentation at the EARA conference in Porto
  • Young scholars from all countries can apply but five awards (out of 20) will be dedicated to those from low income countries*

Selection

The selection will be done by the conference award committee (Elisabetta Crocetti, Metin Ozdemir, and Wim Beyers) based on the submitted documentation.
Awardees will be notified by email by June 1, 2020 and they will receive the travel grant during the EARA conference.

  • - Notification of registration to the EARA conference
  • - Brief CV including education and major academic achievements (maximum 500 words)
  • - Description of research interests (max 300 words)
  • - Motivation statement (maximum 300 words) (explaining how attending the EARA conference will help advancing your scientific activity)
  • - Estimated costs (maximum 300 words) (provide a clear breakdown of your costs for attending the conference)
