The 2016 conference of the Special Interest Group on “Learning and Development in Early Childhood” (SIG5) of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instructions (EARLI) will be held June-29 to July-1, 2016 in Porto, Portugal.
The theme of the 2016 SIG5 conference is “Bridging Multiple Perspectives in Early Childhood Education”. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to explore the processes, practices and effects of early childhood education and research, and to address the role of parents, teachers and peers in young children’s development and learning in the contexts of home, early childhood settings, and school.
The Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at the University of Porto invites you to come to Porto and be a part of this scientific meeting. Authors are encouraged to submit proposals for presentation on the following formats: Symposium; Paper Presentation; Poster. Confirmed keynote speakers are Professors Catherine Snow (Harvard Graduate School of Education; USA), Karine Verschueren (University of Leuven; Belgium) and Manuel Sobrinho Simões (Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology at the University of Porto; Portugal).
